J&K Police: J&K Police announces reward up to Rs 12L to curb ‘anti-national activities’ | India News

JAMMU: In an attempt to curb ‘anti-national activities’ in the Union Territory, the J&K Police has announced cash reward of up to Rs 12.50 lakh for people who provide information and intelligence on trans-border tunnels, drones, narcotics, terror activities and terrorists.
J&K Police@JmuKmrPolice in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday said, “The people can share such information with district superintendents of police concerned and the identity of the person will be kept secret.”
“Whereas Rs 2 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh reward has been announced for those giving specific information about presence of terrorists, resulting in successful operation leading to arrest or combat. Cash reward will be provided as per category of A, B and C,” the J&K Police said in another post on X.
The cash reward for providing information about trans-border tunnels used by anti-national elements is Rs 5 lakh, according to the J&K Police.
Further, the police announced Rs 3 lakh reward for those who sight drones from the across the border and provide information about the same.
As per the posts, Rs 2 lakh reward each has been announced for people providing information about inter-state narcotics modules, people talking to Pakistan-based terrorists and separatists in jails, and those talking to or communicating with terrorist handlers across the border or with their agents within J&K.
Police also announced Rs 1 lakh cash reward for those providing information about people inciting and encouraging others to join terrorist ranks and pick up gun.
