A state level fasting protest against arrest of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi chief minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal and blessing event was held by AAP in Haryana on the banks of Brahamsarovar in Kurukshetra on Sunday.
The protest in Kurukshetra was led by AAP Haryana chief Sushil Gupta, who is also Kurukshetra candidate under the banner of INDIA bloc.AAP Haryana vice president Anurag Dhand and the entire state executive also participated in the protest.
Sushil Gupta said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is today weakening all the constitutional institutions of the country. “This is the first time in the political history of India that a sitting CM has been arrested during the elections. The whole country is watching how the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken over the entire democratic system of India. Soon Arvind Kejriwal will be among the public. Truth and honesty will prevail”, said Gupta.
Gupta said that the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal makes it clear that the BJP is scared of him.
“Corrupt people are joining the BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called Naveen Jindal from the land of Kurukshetra a coal thief, he has been included in the party and made a candidate from here. Naveen Jindal has become clean through BJP’s washing machine. More than 10 cases are registered against Naveen Jindal. Prime Minister Modi wants to destroy the democracy of the country with the help of lies and statements. Now the people of the country have become alert and will oust the Bharatiya Janata Party from power to save democracy”, said Gupta.
