Champhai North Assembly Election Result 2023: H. Ginzalala from the Zoram People’s Movement currently holds the lead in the Champhai North seat in the Mizoram district. His contenders in this race include Dr. Zr Thiamsanga from the Mizo National Front (MNF) and K. Lalnunmawia from the Indian National Congress (INC).

Vote counting for Champhai North commenced at 8 AM, and as per the latest updates from the Election Commission of India (ECI) website, H.Ginzalala of the Zoram People’s Movement is currently leading with 6,939 votes. Dr. Zr Thiamsanga of the Mizo National Front (MNF) and K. Lalnunmawia from the Indian National Congress (INC) are trailing with 6,280 and 2,425 votes, respectively.
In the 2018 elections, Champhai North had a total of 18,617 eligible voters. Dr. Zr Thiamsanga, the Mizo National Front candidate, emerged victorious with 6,057 votes. T.T. Zothansanga of the Indian National Congress secured 4,964 votes but faced defeat with a margin of 1,093 votes.

As per the Census of India, 2011, the estimated literacy level in the district encompassing this constituency is 95.91%.
In the 2023 Mizoram Assembly elections, the total number of eligible electors in the constituency was 20,057, comprising 9,733 males and 10,324 females, with registered voters of the third gender.
