Cbi: 60 years of CBI: PM Modi inaugurates new offices at Shillong, Pune, Nagpur; launches Twitter handle | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.
An Investiture Ceremony for recipients of the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Gold Medal for Best Investigating Officers of CBI was held on Monday wherein the Prime Minister conferred medals to the awardees.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the new CBI office complexes at Shillong, Pune and Nagpur. Besides, he released a postage stamp and commemorative coin marking the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. He also launched the Twitter handle of the central probing agency.
The CBI was established by a resolution of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India dated April 1, 1963.
