The war of words between Vivek Agnihotri and Naseeruddin Shah is reaching new heights. While the veteran actor has claimed that it is disturbing to see films like The Kashmir Files and Gadar 2 becoming massively popular, Vivek Agnihotri, the director of The Kashmir Files has hit back at the legendary actor. He claims that Shah perhaps feels exposed with the truth of his last film and also claims that the veteran actor likes to support terrorists.
In an interview with Zoom, when the director was asked to comment on Naseeruddin Shah’s remark, he mentioned that he’s a great admirer of Naseersahab and that’s why he had cast him in The Tashkent Files.But he wonders why of late the actor has suddenly grown so old and if that’s the case then he doesn’t want to say anything.
He also added that sometimes, people are frustrated with a lot of things or maybe the actor is feeling exposed with the truth of The Kashmir Files. People generally don’t like being naked in front of others through somebody else’s art. There is something wrong, there is something not right with what Naseer keeps saying.
He further added that Naseer is happy doing films that support genocide, he has acted in them, perhaps because of his religion or because of his frustration. For whatever reasons, perhaps he likes to support terrorists, but he doesn’t. And at this point Vivek doesn’t even care what Naseer says. He highlighted that he has zero tolerance for terrorism.
Naseeruddin Shah will next be seen collaborating with Vishal Bhardwaj on his web show Charlie Chopra. He will be seen with his wife Ratna Pathak Shah, and sons Vivaan and Imaad in the show.
On the other hand, Vivek is gearing up for his next film The Vaccine War touted to be India’s first bio-science film. It stars Nana Patekar, Raima Sen, Pallavi Joshi among many others.
