Union Finance Minister (FM) Nirmala Sitharaman presented the last full-fledged Union Budget of the Narendra Modi government before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on wednesday. “Replacing old polluting vehicles is an important part of greening our economy. Under Vehicle Scrapping Policy, allocated adequate funds to replace old state vehicles and state ambulances,” she said.
Many netizens, closely following FM’s speech, felt it wasn’t a mistake but Sitharaman deliberately made the gaffe, hinting at how her party BJP replaced the old political dispensation in 2014.
