Tejashwi slams ‘visionless, tired’ CM, says game has just begun | India News

PATNA: Dumped after less than 18 months in office, Bihar’s former deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav described thrice-reincarnated chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday as a “visionless and tired” leader who made him do all the hard work in the dismantled Mahagathbandhan government.
“The khela (game) has just begun. We will continue it,” RJD’s Tejashwi said after Nitish bailed out of the RJD-JD(U)-Congress alliance and took oath as CM for the ninth time, again with BJP’s support.
Tejashwi declared JD(U) would be “finished” in 2024.
“I bear no grudge against Nitish. He is like a guardian to me. I always respected him and will continue to do so. My best wishes to BJP for taking him (Nitish) with them,” he said.
Tejashwi said, “What we did in 17 months, Nitish couldn’t in 17 years with BJP. Distribution of appointment letters to over two lakh people in a day, introduction of IT, sports and tourism policies, and improvement in health and education infrastructure are some of our achievements. Nitish is now grudging us credit for that. Why won’t we take credit for the work we have done?”
