Disturbed at not being allowed by his father to take up some private job, a 20-year-old youth from UP’s Maharajganj, doing self-study for competitive exams for a government job, hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his rented house in Kota on Wednesday.
The deceased, Tanveer Khan, was staying with his sister and father, who is a chemistry teacher at a coaching institute, in Kunhari area. DSP Khiv Singh Rathore said no suicide note was recovered from Tanveer’s room. The body was handed over to the family after autopsy. The DSP clarified that the deceased was not aspiring to crack NEET or JEE.
