MANGALURU: The Sangeet Bharati Foundation has announced its upcoming event, a celebration of music and empowerment titled ‘Stree Shakti,’ on March 24.
The event will showcase a captivating classical vocal recital and a Sitar-Santoor Jugalbandi performance. It will be held at Ravindra Kala Bhavan, Hampankatta. This unique program, centered around the theme of women’s power, promises to be a remarkable experience for music aficionados.Admission is free.
The evening will feature two main segments. First, rising classical vocalist Srilakshmi Belmannu of Bengaluru will grace the stage, accompanied by the talented Neeta Beleyur of Bengaluru on harmonium and Vighnesh Kamath of Kundapura on tabla. Following this, a Sitar-Santoor Jugalbandi by the exceptionally skilled sisters, Sanskrati Wahane and Prakrati Wahane, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, will take place. Joining them on tabla will be the young artist Hemant Joshi of Hubballi.
Geetha D Kulkarni, ACP, City Crime Branch, Mangaluru City Police, will inaugurate the event.
