The second annual South Asian Excellence at the Oscars event was held on Thursday and was attended by many celebrities such as Jr NTR, Preity Zinta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nick Jonas and other. The event was co-hosted by Priyanka Chopra. Ram Charan and his wife Upasana also attended the event which was held in Los Angeles.
On Saturday, Upasana shared a couple of pictures from the event with her husband Ram Charan and Priyanka Chopra.
Taking to Instagram, she captioned the photos and thanked Priyanka Chopra, she wrote, “LA familia. #hollywood. @priyankachopra thank u for always being there for us. @samosastories big hug.”
The photos also featured Upasana and Ram Charan in Priyanka’s LA mansion with Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra, her in-laws Denise Jonas and Paul Kevin Jonas along with Ram and Upasana’s pet dog.
The pre-Oscars party was hosted by Priyanka Chopra and celebrity manager-entrepreneur Anjula Acharia, with co-chairs Malala Yousafzai, Mindy Kaling, Kumail Nanjiani, Kal Penn, Aziz Ansari, Bela Bajaria, Radhika Jones, Joseph Patel, Shruti Ganguly, and Anita Chatterjee. The celebrities walked the red carpet for the event, many of whom were dressed by Falguni and Shane Peacock.
Upasana wore a patterned red dress, while Ram dressed in a black suit for the occasion. During the pre-Oscar’s ceremony, nominees from Indian movies like RRR, All That Breathes, and The Elephant Whisperers were honoured.
