After delivering one of the biggest hits in the film industry with the Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’. director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was spotted and snapped at the Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh recently.
As Sandeep exited, his bald head suggested that he had made a donation of his hair at the temple. He was attired in a blue kurta adorned with a pink scarf. When greeted by some of his admirers at the temple, he graciously posed for photographs with them. In response to inquiries about his next project, the director mentioned ‘Spirit,’ his upcoming film featuring Prabhas.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film ‘Animal’ received a mixed response from audiences, with many feeling it was excessively violent and portrayed misogynistic behavior in a positive light. Following the movie’s release, Sandeep defended it in multiple interviews. However, a significant portion of the audience criticized certain scenes from the film. Veteran writer Javed Akhtar labeled the movie as “dangerous” and discussed his concerns about it at the 9th Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

“If there’s a film in which a man asks a woman to lick his shoe or if a man says it’s okay to slap a woman… and the film is a super hit, that’s dangerous,” he said while referring to the scene where Ranbir’s character asks Tripti Dimri’s character to ‘lick his shoe’.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Sandeep Reddy Vanga addressed Javed Akhtar’s criticism by stating, “It’s evident that he didn’t watch the film. His comment clearly indicates that he didn’t see the entire film. When someone criticizes without seeing the work, it’s disappointing. It’s apparent that he hasn’t watched the film. And it’s not just about him; anyone who criticizes an artistic creation without understanding it, should reflect on their own perspective first.”
