NEW DELHI: The BJP will contest Lok Sabha elections with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image who makes good his promises as its central plank .
Sapne nahin haqeekat bunte, tabhi to sab Modi ko chunte“(People keep reposing faith in Modi because he turns their dreams into reality” will be theme of party’s campaign formally launched by BJP chief J P Nadda .
The launch of the campaign ditty in the presence of PM came in the immediate wake of the consecration of Ram Lala at Ayodhya Mandir which marked fulfilment of party’s emotional ” Mandir wahi Banayenge” pledge and amid signs of growing disarray in ranks of the challenger-aspirant, the INDIA bloc of parties.
In fact, a flurry of developments through the day indicating that JDU chief and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had approached the BJP to explore a possible return, his third , to the NDA appeared to have thrust the INDIA combine into a serious crisis.
In stark contrast, BJP , already seen as the favourite, showed a purposefulness by releasing the campaign ditty along with a video address from the PM who addressed a rally at Bulandshahr in UP before switching to the official engagement of hosting visiting French PM Emmanuel Macron. The headstart can only reinforce the perception of the party starting with a big advantage over the opponents guaranteeing delivery on promises and dreams spanning the previous generation, present generation or the future generation of Amrit Peedhi.
Dreams spanning years, decades or even dreams going back to 500 years have been delivered by PM Modi,” said Nadda on the occasion.
Not a week has gone of fulfilling its most awaited pledge of Ram Temple in Ayodhya when PM Modi led the “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony on January 22 followed by the highest civilian decoration “Bharat Ratna” to celebrated EBC leader Karpoori Thakur next day, the BJP on Thursday launched its theme for 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
The party also launched an online campaign through NaMo app seeking public opinion for its manifesto for the polls, an exercise the BJP strategists have done in the past too. PM Modi, in his interaction with the youngsters, asked them to send their suggestions for the BJP’s manifesto for the elections, expected in April-May, to him through the NaMo app, saying he would meet with some of them whose ideas are good and workable.
Party sources said that the ‘Tabhi Toh Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hai’ campaign has emerged organically from among the people and the BJP has adopted it in tune with the feedback about mass sentiment it has gathered.
Party said that the theme of this new campaign also complements the ongoing national fervour building in consonance with the ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’, mass movement.
During the campaign launch, which was done at the “First time Voters Conclave (Nav Matdata Sammelan), a music video was released that showcased how Prime Minister Modi has turned the dreams and aspirations of crores of Indians into reality. “The BJP firmly believes that this campaign slogan is not just a sentiment experienced by a few, but one that resonates with the masses,” a party functionary said.
Speaking on the occasion, Nadda urged all party workers to make themselves resonate with the sentiment of the people and to spread awareness about this crucial campaign to every corner of the country.
Party sources said the campaign will have several components to it. Apart from the main song released on Thursday, which captures in a very emotive tone the work of PM Modi, a host of other collaterals are planned.
Using the same campaign theme, a separate, foot tapping massy song is also planned for release a few days later. Digital hoardings, display banners, and digital films and TVCs will all be released in a phased manner in the coming days.
Party said that each of these will establish the case of what PM Modi has achieved in a particular domain and therefore he has fulfilled the promise and is thus the natural choice of people, over and over again.
