Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui recently remarked on the newly released action Bollywood film ‘Fighter,’ which had been previously criticized as anti-Pakistan by several Pakistani celebrities. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, the movie is helmed by Siddharth Anand. Adnan expressed his response on the X platform to the box office performance of ‘Fighter.’
Adnan had previously expressed his disappointment in January, following the release of the trailer for an unnamed movie (presumably ‘Fighter’), stating his disappointment with Bollywood’s portrayal of Pakistanis as villains. Now, in his recent tweet, he has criticised the film directly, advising the ‘Fighter’ team to learn from their disappointing performance. He emphasised the importance of respecting the audience’s intelligence and urged entertainment to remain empty of unnecessary political agendas.

Responding to the trailer of ‘Fighter,’ Siddiqui, known for his role in the 2017 Hindi film ‘Mom’ alongside the late actor Sridevi, tweeted a couple of weeks ago, “Once celebrated for love, Bollywood now crafts hate-filled narratives, portraying us as villains. Despite our love for your films, it’s disheartening. Art transcends boundaries; let’s use it to promote love and peace. Two nations, victims of politics, deserve better.”
