NEW DELHI: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, one of the chief guests for the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, on Sunday said reconstruction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya was an occasion to end the bitterness and enlightened people of society should ensure that the dispute ended completely.
Asserting that the event marked the reawakening of national pride, Bhagwat said, “Shri Ram is the most worshipped deity of the majority society and the life of Shri Ramchandra is still accepted as ideal conduct by society.Hence, the conflict that had arisen over the dispute should end.”
The RSS chief said the entry of Shri Ramlalla in Ram Janmabhoomi and his ‘pran pratishtha’ was the beginning of the campaign for reconstruction of Bharatvarsh which was for the well-being of all, accepting all without enmity and showing the path of harmony, unity, progress and peace.
“We are the active followers and implementers of that campaign. In the devotional celebration of Jan 22, along with the reconstruction of the temple, all of us have resolved for the reconstruction of Bharat and through it paving the way for the reconstruction of the entire world. By always keeping this guiding light in mind, moving forward is the need of the hour,” Bhagwat said.
“Ayodhya means a city ‘where there is no war’, a place free from conflict,” he added. Referring to invasions in India since Alexander, Bhagwat said the history of the country was the history of continuous struggle against invaders for the last 1,500 years.
“This policy of the invaders was not limited to just Ayodhya or any one temple, but was a war strategy for the entire world,” he added.
