Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is racing ahead at the box office like a raging bull. The Atlee directorial has already crossed Rs 500 mark worldwide and earned over Rs 319 crore in India net in the first 5 days of its release. And the masala entertainer has managed to keep the momentum going on day 6 as well.
According to early estimates, Jawan has witnessed a 20 per cent drop in its collection on Tuesday.The film is likely to earn Rs 26 crore in all formats while the Hindi version is expected to mint Rs 24 crore alone, taking its 6-day collection to over Rs 345 crore.The film capitalised on its massive hype as it opened to a humongous Rs 75 crore net in India, worldwide it grossed over Rs 150 crore on day 1. On Friday, the film witnessed a 29.03 per cent drop in its collections as it earned Rs 53.23 crore net in India (all languages). However, things weekend put the film on a linear curve as the film raked in Rs 77.83 crore net and Rs 80.5 crore net on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Jawan is a father-son story that addresses social and political issues through its hero, essayed by Shah Rukh Khan. It also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi as well as Deepika Padukone in a special appearance, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra as well as Sanjay Dutt in a cameo appearance.
