NEW DELHI: Suspecting an explosion near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi to be a “possible terror attack“, the Israeli National Security Council has issued a travel advisory for its citizens in India.
The Israeli administration issued the advisory hours after a blast occurred near the Israel embassy in the Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave of the national capital on Tuesday evening.
The advisory urges Israeli nationals to try to avoid going to crowded places like malls and markets, and places identified as serving Westerners/Jews and Israelis. They have also been asked to be on heightened alert in public places, including restaurants, hotels, and pubs.
The Israeli administration has also advised against openly showcasing Israeli symbols, abstaining from participating in large-scale events lacking security measures, and refraining from sharing travel itineraries, real-time photographs, and visit details on social media.
