The industry is gearing up for the first big release of 2024, in the form of ‘Fighter’. The film has been awaited since the time it was announced, due to its cast. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone shall be teaming up together for the first time as an on-screen pair. Meanwhile, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi. The songs and the trailer have got a good response so far and fans are eagerly waiting for its release.
However, as the movie went for certification, the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers of ‘Fighter’ to remove some scenes from the movie. Reportedly, the makers have been asked to remove some sexually suggestive scenes from the film and have been asked to include an ‘anti-smoking’ message in the movie. With these changes in place, ‘Fighter’ has been given a ‘UA’ certificate from the board.
Meanwhile, rumours were rife that there’s a problem between Deepika and the film’s director Siddharth Anand as the actress is not seen promoting the movie. However, Anand steered clear on these rumours and said that it’s a strategic plan so that fans can explore Hrithik and DP’s chemistry on the screen directly. However, he had also ensured that they can’t do without Deepika and she will be seen more during the promotions as the film nears release. So far, only Hrithik and Anil Kapoor are seen at the promotional events along with Karan Singh Grover and Akshay.
DP and Anand had collaborated earlier for ‘Pathaan’. ‘Fighter’ is set to release on January 25.
