Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa gets delayed, the actor to first star in Aamir Khan’s Campeones: Report

The announcement of Jee Le Zaraa featuring Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif has generated a lot of excitement among fans who are eagerly anticipating the project. However, it seems that fans will have to wait a little longer as Farhan Akhtar, who was supposed to direct the film, has other work obligations to fulfil first. According to reports, the actor, who is also starring in Aamir Khan’s Campeones, will complete filming for that movie before moving on to Jee Le Zaraa.

As reported by a leading news portal, a source who is close to the production house stated that it is possible that Jee Le Zaraa will be put on hold due to scheduling conflicts. As a result, Farhan Akhtar has decided to focus on other projects for the time being. The film, which is dear to the hearts of Farhan, Zoya, and everyone at Excel Entertainment, has experienced difficulties in getting off the ground despite numerous attempts. Farhan is reportedly being very understanding and not pressuring anyone and has instead rearranged his schedule to prioritise acting in a different film.

According to the source, a decision regarding the future of Jee Le Zara will only be made when all three main actors are available for filming on the same date. It is also possible that there may be alterations to the cast.

The report also stated that Farhan has been cast for the Aamir Khan production, Campeones Remake and will start filming for the movie as per the new portal. The movie will be directed by RS Prasanna. According to a source, Farhan and Aamir are close friends and when Aamir approached him for the movie, Farhan readily agreed. Both Farhan and Aamir share similar creative ideas and are aiming to commence filming in October this year.

At first, Aamir was negotiating with Salman Khan for the movie Campeones. However, Salman’s schedule conflicts led to the project being handed over to Farhan Akhtar. The source further added that RS Prasanna and his team will start scouting locations for Campeones in August. The film is a joint venture between Aamir Khan Productions and Sony Pictures. After Campeones, there are rumours that Farhan will commence work on Don 3 featuring Ranveer Singh.

The upcoming movie Jee Le Zaraa is said to be a road-trip film, much like Akhtar’s successful movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, which featured Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol.
