Distributors are confident Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo – Bloody Sweet will earn big numbers despite not releasing in major multiplexes in the North market – Exclusive | Hindi Movie News

Thalapathy Vijay’s film Leo – Bloody Sweet will not be releasing in National multiplex and theatre chains of North India. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is one of the most promising filmmakers from the South, Leo is one of the most awaited films of the year. The added incentive for North audiences is that the film also stars Sanjay Dutt who plays a pivotal role.A source close to the distributors revealed to ETimes, “This week has many South Indian films releasing due to the build up to Dussehra and Leo is one of the most awaited films. The reason that the National chains are not releasing it is due to the four-week hold over period, therefore it may not release in the National chains. But the feedback from the film is extraordinary and therefore, the makers are confident that the film will garner big numbers.”

It may be recalled here that Lokesh Kanagaraj has already announced that he is going to create the Lokesh verse (his version of a cinematic universe). However, he has not yet revealed if Leo will be a part of his cinematic universe or not. But fans were excited when, just a few days before release, Lokesh tweeted to the audience to revisit his 2019 hit Kaithi before watching Leo.

The competition isn’t going to make Leo’s theatrical run easy. There are about five Hindi films, five Bengali films and four South Indian films releasing this week. Some of the major releases are 12th Fail, Yaariyan 2, Ganapath, Aankh Micholi and Bhagwan Bharose. The major South releases are Ghost, Bhagavanath Kesari, Tiger Nageswara Rao and Aadujeevatham.
