Congress says BRS is BJP’s B team | India News

MUMBAI: Even as Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has drafted an ambitious plan to create a base for his party, the Bharat Rashtra Samiti, in the state, MPCC president Nana Patole on Monday described the BRS as “BJP’s B team” and said it will not have any impact on Maharashtra’s politics. “Chandrashekhar Rao will not succeed in Maharashtra, the people of the state know it (BRS) is BJP’s B team. The Telangana pattern will not work in the state. The Pandharpur tour is a matter of devotion, KCR should not take political advantage,” Patole said.
KCR, accompanied by his entire cabinet, MPs and legislators, is on a two-day tour of temple town Pandharpur. He plans to seek darshan of Lord Vitthal on Tuesday morning. He has already set up his office in Nagpur, the hometown of deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and union minister for roads Nitin Gadkari.
Patole said the BRS is already in crisis as many of its senior leaders have recently quit and joined the Congress in New Delhi. “The Telangana pattern is just as deceptive as the Gujarat one. We have comprehensive information on the state of affairs in the BRS, and we will expose it at an appropriate time. Like Narendra Modi, KCR’s performance too has been dismal. Our farmers who sold onion in Telangana feel they have been cheated,” Patole alleged.
