Cabinet stamp on Rs 24,000 crore tribal scheme | India News

NEW DELHI: The Cabinet has approved the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan, which focuses on 11 critical interventions for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups.
The schemehas a total outlay of Rs 24,104 crore and focuses on over 28 lakh tribal people from around 75 vulnerable tribes across 220 districts. The scheme targets to provide 4.9 lakh pucca homes, 8,000km of roads, and community water supply in 2,500 villages/habitations with less than 20 households among other things.
