The Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed Ayodhya airport and railway station on December 30.
Come January 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will install the Ram idol in the temple in Ayodhya on January 22, putting an end to more than 700 years of disputed history.
The Ram Temple in Ayodhya is being built in phases, spread over a total expanse of 71 acres. The first phase of the project covers the ground floor of the temple where Ram Lalla will be consecrated. This will involve construction of the sanctum sanctorum and numerous mandap.
The temple will, after completion, be spread over three floors including a ground floor. There will be murals and iconography across the temple, engravings on around 360 pillars, with each pillar having 25 to 30 figures. In the last phase of the project, to be completed in December 2025, the Parkota or Parikrama Marg, with murals of bronze as well as seven temples of Saptarishis along with auditoriums, administrative building etc. will come up.
The Ram Temple inauguration is expected to bring thousands of people to Ayodhya city, besides the dignitaries invited for the event.
