Following her involvement in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Ananya Panday is preparing for her next project, a cyber-thriller tentatively titled Control, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. During an interview, the actress expressed her initial disbelief when approached by the filmmaker.
Ananya described working with Vikramaditya Motwane as a dream come true, especially since she has admired his work, particularly the film Udaan, which happens to be her mother’s favourite movie. Initially, she couldn’t believe that Motwane wanted to work with her. She shared that it took some time for her to register the fact that she would be collaborating with the acclaimed director.
The actress also opened up about her self-doubt and the constant need for validation. She mentioned that her self-belief is low, and she seeks affirmation from directors multiple times on set. Ananya acknowledged her tendency to question her own work and express surprise when receiving compliments, indicating her ongoing effort to improve in this aspect.
Ananya Panday made her debut in the 2019 film Student of the Year 2 directed by Punit Malhotra. Apart from Control, she is set to appear in Call My Bae and Shankara, alongside Akshay Kumar.
