Yevgeny Prigozhin: Elon Musk on Wager chief’s death: ‘Took longer than I expected’

NEW DELHI: Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner private military group, was killed in a plane accident in Russia on Wednesday. Prigozhin, who led a failed armed mutiny against Russian forces in June, was among the passengers on a plane that tragically crashed on Wednesday. The crash resulted in the loss of all 10 passengers on board.
Speculation has been rife about the ultimate fate of the Wagner chief since the day he decided to take on Russian forces.
Alexei Navalny, Sergei Skripal, Vladimir Kara-Murza, Alexander Litvinenko: These are some high-profile people who dared to take on Russian President Vladimir Putin and died under mysterious circumstances. Now, Prigozhin has joined the list.
For some, the death of Prigozhin may have happened a bit late. Tesla CEO Elon Musk surely seems to think so. “Longer than I expected.
Slight chance this is a psy op,” the Tesla chief said in his response about the Wagner chief’s death.

Prigozhin’s death had left the Wagner Group, which incurred Putin’s wrath in June by staging an abortive armed mutiny against the army’s top brass, leaderless and raising questions about its future operations in Africa and elsewhere.
Whoever or whatever was behind the crash, his death would also rid Putin of someone who had mounted the most serious challenge to the Russian leader’s authority since he came to power in 1999.
“If you so choose, even the unexpected setbacks can bring new and positive possibilities. If you so choose, you can find value and fulfillment in every circumstance.” – Ralph Marston
