Fans of 1923 will probably be waiting a lot longer than expected for season two of the prequel Yellowstone series.

According to reports, via Deadline, season two has yet to start filming because of the WGA strike.

Filming on season two of the show was set to start earlier this month in Montana. However, due to the writers’ strike, it’s been delayed, and now, production has been delayed until further notice.

NBC Montana reported that the Butte Civic Center manager, Bill Melvin, told them that Paramount+ had contacted him about the production delay.

Filming was set to kick off on June 5, and Bill revealed that Paramount is still paying $75,000 a month to use the Civic Center through the end of the year.

Season two of 1923 would bring back Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as Jacob and Cara Dutton, with Brandon Sklenar returning from Europe to aid his family and defend their land following the death of his older brother, played by James Badge Dale.

Season two would conclude the 1923 story.
