Wipro: Wipro freshers seek job update

BENGALURU: Candidates who had been made offers by IT services major Wipro but have not been onboarded yet are taking to social media to get redressal. Freshers who had been recruited over a year ago are still waiting to be onboarded.
They are reacting and commenting on HR head Saurabh Govil’s LinkedIn posts and chairman RishadPremji’s tweets. One post read, “Please plan properly before giving offer letters to freshers. Give offer letters to students if you can onboard them fast after graduation. ”
Another candidate wrote on one of Govil’s posts that the company should either onboard them or communicate formally that Wipro would not be taking their candidature forward.
Various tweets by Premji have also received comments by these students with the hashtag #WiproOnboardUs2022. On one of Premji’s tweets, a user asked, “Basic question: When will elite candidates get onboarding? Please (do) not give a system generated answer. ”
In response to TOI’s query on the matter, the company said, “Wipro can confirm that it will honour all offer letters that have been made to deserving candidates, in a phased manner. ”
