Farhan Akhtar has officially announced the third instalment of the popular ‘Don’ franchise. However, unlike the first two instalments, the third part will not star Shah Rukh Khan in the lead but Ranveer Singh.
Reports are now rife that the makers are planning to rope in the OG Junglee Billi of ‘Don’ franchise, Priyanka Chopra opposite Ranveer. This will be Priyanka and Ranveer’s fourth collaboration after ‘Gunday’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.

According to a report in KoiMoi, Farhan Akhtar is now prioritising ‘Don 3‘ over ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ as the male cast of ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ is yet to work out.

He will now go ahead full-throttle with ‘Don 3’ with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in the lead.

The report also added that Priyanka recently met with Farhan and they largely spoke about ‘Don 3’. The actress has reportedly given him a green signal to do the film. Earlier, names like Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon were doing the rounds for the female lead in the much-awaited third part.

The exit of Shah Rukh Khan and entry of Ranveer Singh in ‘Don’ franchise has not gone down well with many of SRK fans. People on social media trolled Ranveer after the announcement video of the upcoming film was unveiled by the makers.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer also has Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’. Priyanka, on ther other hand, is also a part of ‘Citadel 2’.
