Farhan Akhtar officially announced that his popular ‘Don’ franchise will be taken ahead by not Shah Rukh Khan but Ranveer Singh. Now, reports are rife that the makers have roped in Deepika Padukone to star opposite the actor in ‘Don 3‘.
According to a report on Zoom Digital, several names like Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon have been making the rounds in the media as a possible actress set to star opposite Ranveer. While Kiara’s presence at Ritesh Sidhwani’s office sparked speculations, reports were also rife that Kriti has come on board for the film, marking her first collaboration with the ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ star.

Reports are also doing the rounds that producers are also quite keen on casting Deepika Padukone as the female lead.

The makers reportedly want a top-notch actress as the part has a lot of intricate stunts to perform in the film. Deepika and her athletic personality fits the bill. However, there has been no official confirmation on these reports as yet.

Ranveer and Deepika have done three films together with Sanjay Leela Bhansali namely, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’. The actress also made special appearances in Ranveer’s films, ’83’ and ‘Cirkus’ earlier.
Meanwhile, the news of Ranveer stepping into the shoes of Shah Rukh Khan have not gone well with fans. They were seen trolling the ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ actor and even demanding that the makers shelve the film.
