Vijay Sethupathi, gearing up for his upcoming film Merry Christmas alongside Katrina Kaif, reminisced about his initial Mumbai visit, recalling a significant moment. The actor also shared insights about his initial casting in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha.
In a recent conversation with a leading news portal, Sethupathi disclosed his early association with Laal Singh Chaddha. He described his memorable first visit to Mumbai, where he met the director in the afternoon and later had a meeting at Aamir Khan’s home. Reflecting on the experience, he revealed that he went to Aamir’s home and had coffee with him. After that, Aamir dropped him to the airport as well.
Notably, Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi adaptation of the 1994 classic Forrest Gump which featured Tom Hanks and Sally Field. A pivotal moment in the 2022 Hindi movie featured a special appearance by Shah Rukh Khan as himself.
Meanwhile, Sethupathi is currently engaged in the filming of Sitaare Zameen Par, a sports drama directed by RS Prasanna, featuring Genelia Deshmukh in a substantial role. Additionally, Aamir Khan has unveiled another project titled Lahore 1947, with Sunny Deol in the lead and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, marking their reunion since Andaz Apna Apna.
