Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna starrer Anupamaa is the most loved show on the TRP charts. It is getting all the love ever since it began. The simple story of a housewife and how her husband, children treat her won hearts. The struggles of Anupamaa became everyone’s struggles. Vaquar Shaikh reacts to Anupamaa’s low TRPs
Now, the TRPs of the show have come down. It is getting around 2.6 and 2.7 ratings which is quite low from what it had got earlier. Vaquar Shaikh who plays the role of Yashdeep Dhillon in the show has reacted to the show’s low ratings.
He spoke to Just Showbiz and said that everyone’s ratings have fallen. He shared that when Anupamaa had four and plus ratings, everyone had good numbers. He said that TRPs of many big channels have gone down because before that channels like Dangal TV, Ishara, Atrangi TV and others were not there. The TRPs are getting divided.
Earlier DD channel had TRPs of 60 and his show named Hina started with a TRP of 28 and 18. Vaquar Shaikh feels that those days are gone now. He said that there was only one channel back then and now there are so many channels. He shared that the cake is now dividing into so many pieces and hence we do not get to see TRPs like 16 or 20.
He feels that getting a TRP of 2.5 and more is like breaking records. However, Anupamaa is still at the top which means the actors, writers are doing a great job.
Talking about the show’s story, as per reports, Anupamaa will follow its original Bengali show, Sreemoyee where Anuj Kapadia’s character might die. Fans have been worried about Gaurav Khanna’s character ending. However, a few reports also say that Anuj will stay.
