NEW DELHI: A US-bound All Nippon Airways plane had to turn back to Tokyo’s Haneda airport after a heavily drunk passenger bit a cabin attendant during the flight, according to the Japanese carrier.
The incident occurred on a flight bound for Seattle, with 159 passengers on board. The passenger, a 55-year-old man believed to be American bit the crew member‘s arm, causing minor injuries.
The flight returned to Haneda airport, where the man was handed to the police. During the investigation, the passenger, who had taken a sleeping pill, claimed to have no recollection of the incident.
