Seeming to take credit for the recent killings of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in Prayagraj, BJP’s Saharanpur MLA Rajiv Gumber purportedly termed it a “big achievement of the Yogi Adityanath government”, reports Sachin Sharma. In a video that has gone viral, Gumber can be heard saying, “Upar bhej diya na humne… Haven’t we sent Atiq Ahmed up? Haven’t we sent Ashraf Ahmed up? Now it is the turn of Saharanpur-based goons, so vote for our candidate.” TOI could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
