NEW DELHI: Authorities have seized two drones and nearly one kilogram of heroin near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Amritsar on Tuesday, according to a BSF spokesperson. The first drone was spotted near Dhanoe Khurd village in Amritsar.
A joint search operation with the Punjab Policeled to the discovery of a China-made drone and a 430-gram packet of heroin in a field.Attached to the packet were a nylon ring and a small torch, as reported by the spokesperson.
Additionally, on Monday evening, BSF troops intercepted another drone in the same Dhanoe Khurd village. Subsequent search efforts resulted in the recovery of a China-made quadcopter and a packet of heroin weighing 540 grams, the spokesperson further stated.
