NEW DELHI: A New Jersey woman, who worked as a talent acquisition specialist at Capital Rx, was fired from the company for misbehaving with a group of German tourists on a New York City-bound train, reported the Daily Mail.
Brianna Pinnix, aged 30, who appeared under the influence of alcohol told the tourist to “get the f….k out of our country”.
A spokesperson of the company she worked for confirmed to the New York Post that she had been terminated from the job.
“Our company has a zero-tolerance policy around prejudicial or discriminatory behaviour. After conducting a review of the circumstances, we acted immediately and terminated the employee in question,” the company said in a statement, according to The Post.
“The former employee’s actions and words are not representative of Capital Rx, and we offer our sincerest apology to those who were hurt,” it added.
Pinnix has deactivated her social media accounts, including LinkedIn, following the video of her surfaced on Reddit.
In the whole incident, according to the report, Pinnix’s boyfriend tried to prevent her from getting entangled in a verbal spat with the tourists, but to no avail as she “did not appear in senses”. Even the co-passengers looked taken aback at the slur being hurled by Pinnix on the train.
Reacting to the video, one Redditor wrote, “She’s drunk out of her skull and her nasty true character is now out there for all to see. The guy should ditch her toxic backside ASAP”.
“Dude needs to find a new gf one that brings him peace because this ain’t it. For his own safety probably should record the breakup,” another wrote.
New Jersey Transit told the New York Post in a statement that the agency “strongly condemns any behaviour of this type” and its customers are “encouraged to report incidents of this nature to train crew members, or they can reach out to NJ TRANSIT Police.”
