Sources suggest that Ranbir’s apparent affinity for Alia during the event stirred discomfort in Katrina, leaving her feeling vulnerable.

Still unsettled, she reportedly turned to her good friend Ayan Mukerji, hoping that he would release Alia from their collaborative project, Brahmastra, an ambitious film that also starred Ranbir.

Alia, unfazed by the speculations, was quoted saying, “I read that I was the cause of the Ranbir-Katrina break-up. It was so ridiculous that I didn’t think it needed a clarification”.
