Throwback: Aamir had upset two actors on the sets of 3 Idiots | Hindi Movie News

Aamir Khan is by far one the strongest pillars of Hindi Cinema, he’s opened up the Indian market like no other with films like Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3 etc. But do you know that on the sets of 3 Idiots, two actors got upset with him because of his one decision. 3 Idiots is one of the biggest hits of Bollywood, such was the craze of the film that it was remade in South by Shankar.
Now everyone knows that the shooting of 3 Idiots took place at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. And when the logistics of the shooting was taking place, Aamir was asked where would he like to stay as there are some great hotel options in Bangalore. But Aamir decided that he wanted to stay in the hostel of IIM, as he thought it would be a fun experience and also help him prepare for the role by being around students. At first the production team was hesitant and they were trying to explain to Aamir that how can you stay in a hostel and it is small and doesn’t have many facilities etc but Aamir was like if students can stay there, then why can’t he. And because of this the entire crew was put up in the hostels of the Institute.

The two people who were not very excited about this decision by Aamir , were R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. They were hesitant but they gave in and as it turns out it was one of their most favorite experiences of the entire shooting schedule. In an interview Sharman shared that when Aamir or Hirani sir would be busy, he and Maddy would go for post dinner walks and interact with the students there. He also remembers making a lot of friends there and playing badminton and tennis with them. It gave him a chance to relive his college days.
