The Week in Drag – Say “cheerio” to the queens of UK season 5, Delta Work’s interview with Orville Peck, Bob and Monét take us back in time and more

[ad_1]

Hello, hello, hello! It’s time to catch up with your favorite queens – and meet the newest members of the RuPaul’s Drag Race family.

This week, we met the dolls from across the pond vying to be the UK’s next drag superstar (and learned of a new gig for last season’s winner.) In addition, we have news and updates from our charismatic content creators with a new wig makeover from Jaymes (just in time for your Halloween costume planning), a YouTube tutorial from Trixie and a Milk makeover on Willam.

We’ve got plenty of treats for you, so let’s bring it to the runway!

As Drag Race Down Under crowned its season 4 champion this week (and congrats to Isis Avis Loren), it’s time for a new crop of queens to enter the international Drag Race universe. The queens of Drag Race UK season 5 are staking their kingdom for a Ru Peter badge and vie for RuPaul’s seal of approval in order to win the ultimate drag accolade of being crowned the UK’s Next Drag Race Superstar. The queens are: Alexis Saint-Pete, Banksie, Cara Melle, DeDeLicious, Ginger Johnson, Kate Butch, Michael Marouli, Miss Naomi Carter, Tomara Thomas, and Vicki Vivacious. RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 5 returns to WOW Presents Plus on September 28th at 4pm ET/1pm PT.

Right after the season premiere, check out the brand-new show The After Shave with Danny Beard. On this new show, also streaming on WOW Presents Plus, beloved Season 4 winner Danny Beard sits down to discuss the drama, gossip and hot takes from the episode. Each week straight after the main show, Danny will be serving up their take on all of the latest Drag Race UK drama and will spill the tea with that week’s eliminated queen in an exclusive backstage interview.

Have you ever wanted to be a YouTuber? Have you ever wondered how Trixie Matell is able to create so many entertaining videos? Wonder no more as Trixie takes us behind the scenes, gives us a tour of her studio and offers tips on how to be a YouTube content creator.

On the latest installment of “Paint Me, Bitch”, Drag Race alum Milk transforms Willam into a surreal goddess (and shows off his…ummm…best asset.)

Country crooner Orville Peck sits down with Delta Work on the latest episode of her always entertaining podcast, “Very Delta.”

Need some Halloween inspiration? Well, Jaymes Mansfield is here with some great suggestions. Here, she gives a hair-raising Walmart wig transformation. She is really doing God’s work here.

And, in the latest of her “Dressing Barbie” videos, she recreates the doll’s 1961 holiday-themed, faux silk dress. The end result is so pretty.

Kelly Mantle discusses her acting experience on “Body-Ody-Ody of Work.” They give us the scoop on their roles on NYPD Blue and Nip/Tuck as well as their foray into stand-up comedy.

I love DeJa Skye’s signature eye look and it does look good on everyone, as evidenced on the latest “Dusted by DeJa”, when Lady Camden gets the full Skye treatment.

We love Bob and Monét from head to toe and on this week’s “Sibling Rivalry”, the topic happens to be feet.

In their continuing recaps of season one on “Sibling Watchery”, Bob and Monét take us back to the first makeover challenge, the “Drag School of Charm”, where the queens get physical and makeover some athletic ladies.

The eternally energetic Trixie and Katya talk about all things energy on another hilarious installment of “UNHhhh.”

Tynomi Banks from Canada’s Drag Race talks about her experience on and after the show with Mo Heart on the latest “Life After the Race.”

And that’s it for this week (but if you haven’t checked out our interview with Ts Madison, do it now). Until we meet again, stay safe, stay healthy, support the queens and say LOVE!
