HYDERABAD: Former Telangana MLA from Munugode and BJP election screening committee chief Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy resigned from the saffron party on Wednesday. He is likely to rejoin Congress on Friday (October 27) in Delhi.
Making swift moves, Raj Gopal also sent a proposal to Congress high command expressing his desire to contest from chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Gajwel seat, though Congress has already named the candidature of T Narsa Reddy for the constituency in its first list.Sources said Narsa Reddy is willing to withdraw from the race to pave the way for Raj Gopal’s nomination from Gajwel.
The indications that Raj Gopal was on his way out were made clear when BJP did not include his name from Munugode in its first list.
