Taylor Swift Is No Longer Searchable on X After Fake AI-Generated Explicit Images Were Spread Across the Platform – News JoJo

[ad_1]

Following the emergence of sexually explicit AI-generated deepfake images of Taylor Swift, X (previously known as Twitter) has made her unsearchable on their platform.

These photos, which contained sexually explicit content, were met with denouncement from close sources of Swift, SAG-AFTRA, and the White House.

The images in question included a watermark that pointed towards a website specializing in creating fake nude images of celebrities through AI deepfake technology. The account that initially posted the photos has since been suspended. SAG-AFTRA issued a statement condemning the non-consensual use of fake images depicting Taylor Swift as harmful, upsetting, and deeply concerning and called for the creation and implementation of laws to make this practice illegal.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also voiced her concerns regarding the circulation of false images and the importance of social media companies enforcing their own rules to prevent the spread of misinformation and non-consensual, intimate imagery of real people.

Fans of Taylor Swift were pleased to see X potentially taking steps to remove these images from their website.
