Taylor Swift, known for her philanthropic endeavors, has made a heartwarming gesture by donating a staggering $100,000 to the GoFundMe page set up for the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan. Lopez-Galvan, a DJ, was tragically killed during the Kansas City Chiefs‘ Super Bowl victory parade, which took place earlier this week.

Swift’s donations, made in two separate transactions of $50,000 each, pushed the total amount raised past its initial goal of $75,000. Over 1,300 individuals have made contributions to the fund, which is intended to provide financial support to the family of Lopez-Galvan. The Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan Memorial page was established shortly after the shooting incident, and Variety has confirmed that Swift’s contributions are genuine.

In a message posted on the page, Swift expressed her heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family, stating: “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.” Lopez-Galvan was among 22 people who were injured in the shooting, which took place during the parade, with the DJ being the only casualty.

The fund has been set up to provide support to Lopez-Galvan’s husband of 22 years and her two children. The GoFundMe page states that Lopez-Galvan was “an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many,” and that her family is “grieving the loss of her life.”

During a press conference held earlier this week, Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves confirmed that two teenagers have been detained following the shooting, with one person being released. Graves emphasized that the incident was not linked to terrorism or violent extremism, stating that “this appears to be a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire,” according to Reuters.
