Taapsee Pannu recently said that sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time in the Rajkumar Hirani directorial Dunki was a dream come true. It was also that benchmark which she never thought she would be able to achieve.
She told Pinkvilla that she really did not nurture the thought of working with Shah Rukh because she was like, ‘This is too good to be true, let’s just not even keep it in my list because if I don’t achieve it, I’ll keep feeling bad about it.’
She further said that she was lucky enough to be with SRK every single day while she was shooting Dunki for two years.”We have shot together, there is hardly any stuff we have without each other. It was learning not just in front of the camera, it is learning beyond the camera. Meanwhile, Dunki has crossed Rs 300 crore mark in gross worldwide collection, the makers said on Thursday. The comedy drama opened to mixed reviews upon its release on December 21. The movie focuses on the issue of immigration. Its title Dunki is taken from the term “donkey journey”, which refers to the long-winding, often dangerous routes that people across the world take to reach the places they want to immigrate to.
