Superman: Legacy: David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan to play Clark Kent and Lois Lane

The cast for James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy has finally been revealed. After a search has garnered quite the buzz, David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan have been roped in to play Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

Over the past few weeks, several names including Nicholas Hoult and Tom Brittney came up as speculations around the new Superman did the rounds. According to the latest reports, David Corenswet who is best known for Look Both Ways and Pearl will play Clark Kent. Meanwhile, Marvelous Ms. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan will play Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane.

Superman Legacy

Gunn took to his Twitter handle to confirm the news. He wrote, “Accurate! (They are not only both incredible actors but also wonderful people).”

DC Studios is set to introduce a new DC universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran’s leadership. Henry Cavill has been the fans’ favourite Superman so far with several successful DCEU movies under his belt. His last appearance as the superhero was a cameo in Black Adam.

Superman Legacy

The studio is looking to change tactics after a series of underwhelming films including Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods and the latest outing, The Flash.
