Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew: Release Date, Cast, Plot

It’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan, especially as details trickle out about the next phase of content from the 2023 Star Wars Celebration event in London. In addition to new seasons of “The Mandalorian” and “The Bad Batch” coming our way, brand-new series like “Ahsoka,” “The Acolyte,” and “Tales of the Jedi” have been announced to premiere on Disney+ soon. And now, the up-and-coming actors rounding out the cast of live-action series “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” have been introduced to the universe.

The series was previously confirmed at the 2022 Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, CA, with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni announcing “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.” The duo will serve as executive producers for the show along with “Spider-Man: Homecoming” collaborators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford.

On April 7, during the 2023 event, Disney confirmed the involvement of “Everything Everywhere All At Once” directors the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) in the series, in addition to Bryce Dallas Howard and Lee Isaac Chun. All will direct episodes.

During the event, previously-announced star Jude Law confirmed his longtime love for the Star Wars universe, saying, “I was like 6 years old when this galaxy gripped me . . . I’ve been in preparation ever since.” A first-look image from the series was also shown to attendees.
