Spicejet: SpiceJet launches BagProtekt for flyers hassled by delayed or missing baggage

PUNE: SpiceJet has launched BagProtekt, a service to protect passengers from the hassle of delayed or missing baggage. The add-on service offered in partnership with Blue Ribbon Bags offers expedited tracking and return of delayed or lost baggage on all domestic and international flights on the SpiceJet network.
Passengers can opt for the service at a nominal cost of Rs. 95 per person for domestic and Rs. 330 per person for international routes. This service covers up to two checked-in bags per passenger. Claim against lost/delayed baggage up to Rs. 19,000 for domestic and Rs. 66,000 for international flight becomes applicable in case a bag remains untraced for 96 hours from the arrival of flight.

Our latest offering BagProtekt is in sync with our objective of enhancing the confidence and convenience of passengers travelling with us, by providing baggage protection against delay and loss. The add-on service is available at a nominal cost and offers expedited tracking and return of missing or delayed baggage and keeps our passengers posted on the status of their mishandled bag.”
Passengers can opt-in for the add-on service ‘BagProtekt’ while booking flight on SpiceJet’s website. The service can also be added to an existing booking from the ‘manage booking section’ on the airlines website. Blue Ribbon Bags will handle policy coverage, baggage tracking and processing of claim.
