Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens, and the couple can’t wait to start their life as husband and wife. On April 14, Biles and Owens posed with their marriage license in an adorable Instagram photo. The Olympian also documented the process of going to pick up the license in her Instagram Stories, captioning a photo of her and Owens standing outside of an office building in Montgomery County, TX, with, “We did a thing.”
In her Instagram photo, Biles and Owens are sitting in a car and holding their marriage license between them. The gymnast captioned the photo, “Almost time to say ‘I do’ 📄🤍.” Meanwhile, Owens shared his fiancé’s post on his Instagram Story alongside the caption, “IT’S GETTING REAL!!!!”
Biles hasn’t revealed the date of her wedding just yet, but she has been sharing her prep for the big day with her fans. In addition to chronicling the moment she and her NFL player boyfriend got their marriage license, she also posted a shot of her wedding album — while carefully covering up the date on the cover, of course.
The couple first announced their engagement in February 2022. Shortly after announcing their happy news, they shared a video of the moment Owens proposed on their Instagram accounts. “I can’t wait for this new chapter of life with you, I’m honored to be your future wife 🤍 I love you so much Jonathan James Owens!” Biles captioned her post at the time.
Biles and Owens first confirmed their relationship back in 2020, and they’ve been going strong ever since. The two athletes have been open about their romance every step of the way, sharing everything from vacation photos to snaps from Biles’s recent bridal shower with their followers. Now that their big day is getting closer, you can bet these two romantics will be sharing plenty of moments from their married life as well.
