Siddhant Chaturvedi came to fame after appearing in the hit musical ‘Gully Boy’. After the film was released, the actor saw his instant growth on the photo-sharing app. He has more than 2 million followers on Instagram and often uses it as a platform to share his poetry.
Recently, in an interview with Indianexpress.com, Siddhant said that everybody is an actor, and everybody is famous on Instagram.There is a lot of competition from everywhere. Everybody has a camera; everybody is acting; everyone is putting on a show and entertaining. So now you need to detach yourself from that and ask yourself why you are doing this. For him, it is always the love for cinema, the stage, or the longer format.
He added that Al Pacino had said in an interview years ago that there would be a day when everybody would be famous and being famous wouldn’t be important anymore. It was 30 years ago, and this is the age we are living in. You need to ask yourself if you want to be relevant or rare. He wants to be rare. He is working on that right now.
In his latest film, ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’, Siddhant Chaturvedi plays a stand-up comedian who masks the traumas of his life through jokes. The film is directed by debutant Arjun Varain Singh, who has co-written it with Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.
