Shah Rukh Khan Wins Dadasaheb Phalke Award for ‘Jawan’: ‘Main Laalchi hoon for awards’ |

Shah Rukh Khan won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for ‘Best Actor‘ for his performance in ‘Jawan‘. He had made a rare appearance in the city last night and was looking dapper in a black suit. The actor was elated as he won the award and here’s how he reacted.
As he went on stage with a huge smile flashing his dimples, he also put his wit to display as always and made everyone smile.He said, “It’s been years since I got the best actor award toh aisa lagne laga tha ke mujhe milega hi nahi. Toh mujhe khushi hai. Mujhe awards bohot acche lagte hai. Main laalchi hoon, greedy hoon. Mujhse zyada Vinod Chopra ko acche lagte hai. We will share. I’m thankful that people have recognised the work I’m put in. Work of an artist is not important, it’s the people around that make everything come together. Some are here – Atlee sir, Nayanthara ji, Vijay Sethupati, and I’m not taking names because I’ve taken earlier. But I’ve got help from everyone. I promise I will keep working hard and entertain India and people who are living abroad for as many years as I can. Whether it takes me to fall, to fly, to dance, to romance, to be evil, to be a good guy, a bad guy.”

Nayanthara, Atlee, music director Anirudh Ravichander from the team of ‘Jawan’ were present there. Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji and Vidhu Vinod Chopra were also there in the audience. Hence, SRK looked at him and joked, “Mujhe awards bohot acche lagte hai. Main laalchi hoon, greedy hoon. Mujhse zyada Vinod Chopra ko acche lagte hai. We will share.”
SRK also presented the Best Actress award to Nayanthara for ‘Jawan’.

Shah Rukh was seen bonding with Rani at the red carpet as they twinned in black and it was a treat for fans to see the iconic ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ pair together. Others present at the award function included Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Vikrant Massey among others.
