On August 29, Shah Rukh Khan announced on Twitter and Instagram that he will be flying down to Chennai for the pre-release event. SRK wrote alongside a poster for the upcoming film, ” “Vanakkam Chennai, I am coming!!! All the Jawans – girls & boys at Sai Ram Engineering College be ready… I am excited to meet you all! Might even do some tha tha thaiya if asked. See you tomorrow 3PM onwards.” He also stated that the event will be “by invitation only.
It was recently reported that Jawan is planning a large promotional event for the film in Chennai on August 30, Wednesday. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, South superstar Nayanthara, who plays the film’s female lead, and lead antagonist Vijay Sethupathi are expected to attend the gala.
Not only that, but some unconfirmed reports claim that Anirudh Ravichander, a well-known musician who has composed songs, will perform live at the event. According to reports, Team Jawaan has decided to promote the Shah Rukh Khan film directly in South India, as if it were a Tamil film, due to the superstar’s popularity throughout the country and the film’s star cast consisting primarily of South Indian actors.
Meanwhile, Jawan, directed by Gauri Khan and produced by Gaurav Verma, will be released in theatres on September 7, 2023.
