Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji along with Karan Johar left fans surprised at the screening of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai‘ held on the eve of the film’s 25th anniversary. The trio arrived at a theatre in Mumbai and fans were elated to see them. Although, it was a treat for everyone to see SRK and Rani together, Kajol was missing and netizens missed her just as the photos and videos from the screening went viral.
SRK spoke about how the film has stood the test of time. “I have a son who is 25years old now, and now that I look back upon it, I feel very happy and proud that I launched a young son like Karan Johar because I was a little more established than he was. I am thankful to Yash Johar and Hiroo aunty to back that decision and we got a film like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.”
He further thanked all the actors who were a part of the film. “I would like to thank Reema ji who is not with us now. Farida Jalal of course, we all love her, and Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh and a lot of other actors who I may have forgotten to mention.”
Just as SRK said ‘actors who I may have forgotten to mention’, the crowds cheered and said, ‘Salman bhai Salman bhai’. SRK immediately quipped and said, “Woh interval ke baad aayega. Abhi interval tak speech nahi hui hai meri (He will come after interval, I’ve not yet reached interval in my speech).” Everyone burst into laughter as SRK put his wit to display yet again.

He further added, “Rani ko bhi tab mention karunga jab woh bhoot banke aayegi end mein. So, yes yes, I’d like to thank Salman bhai and Rani who came as a ghost in the end again and all the little kids who were there in the film.”
The actor also revealed that they shot the film in Ooty and it was quite special. “I shot for Chaiyya Chaiyya in Ooty and I shot for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai there,” said SRK. He concluded his speech by saying, “Aap log thoda samjhoge, pura nahi samjhoge, kyunki….Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.”
SRK also won hearts as he held Rani’s saree and walked behind her on the staircase while arriving for the screening.
