Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani‘s Satyaprem Ki Katha has finally released in theatres and it has taken a decent start at the box office. However, it has failed to score in double digits on the first day of its release, despite Eid holiday. According to early estimates, the film is likely to earn Rs 8.50-9 crore nett on its opening day.
Reports suggest that the movie is going to witness a drop on its second day which is a working day.It remains to be seen what kind of drop the film will suffer as it will eventually impact the Saturday number. However, the film is expected to maintain a steady trend over the next three days.
On the day of film’s release, Kartik visited Siddhivinayak temple to seek Bappa’s blessings for his romantic film and thanked fans for their response. The film was earlier titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha, which translates to the story of Satyanarayan, which is another name for the Hindu God Vishnu. However, after backlash, it was renamed Satyaprem Ki Katha.
The film introduced Kartik as SatyaPrem and Kiara as Katha. Kartik is seen pursuing Kiara for marriage as he tries to impress her. The duo gets married. After that, Kiara and Kartik have many difficult experiences together.
The film also stars Supriya Pathak Kapur, Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant and Shikha Talsania.
